Why working with an ASHI certified inspector is important to you

While the State of Arizona is one of only 28 states that licenses and certifies Home Inspectors, in the opinion of HomeSpec Inspection Services the one requirement which is missing from the State of Arizona licensing program is the requirement for continuing education. Once an individual is certified /licensed by the state of Arizona, no continuing education or training is required.

The ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) designation tells you that the home inspector you are working with has joined a professional inspection organization that requires completion of at least
20 hours of continuing education every year. At HomeSpec we require all of our inspectors to become ASHI members as a condition of employment.

The ASHI organization provides continuing education via annual national training seminars, local AZ ASHI chapter classes, and a monthly magazine (The ASHI Reporter) so that our inspectors can continually learn about the latest building technology, and gain additional information to improve knowledge and expertise in property inspections.

At HomeSpec Inspection Services we believe that a professional is always in training. So that is why we make special note that we are not only Arizona Certified but also ASHI Certified Home Inspectors.
